Solomon North HomeCare strives to promote services through education, self-management, interpersonal skill building, interactions, and counseling services. Since Solomon North’s inception, we discovered that individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their family members often have a difficult time finding and coordinating needed services, support, and resources within their environment that would enhance their lives, so we launched Solomon North Support Services of St. Tammany in 2022.

The Service system can be complex and challenging to navigate through. Therefore, we are committed to providing ongoing access to effective, responsive, affordable, reliable, and appropriate services for each of our clients.

Solomon North HomeCare was birthed out of a desire to service the community and enrich the lives of the disabled child and/or adult. We seek to assist individuals that are often concerned about their daily way of life, meeting their needs, or what programs are available to them.

The name Solomon North HomeCare was chosen because it represents the wisest man that ever lived, and it shows the strength of overcoming any adversities. It was birthed from Solomon in the Bible and Solomon Northup, the slave. We believe God has given us the wisdom to assist disabled individuals to work through their challenges in life.

As with Solomon Northup, he was enslaved for twelve years to life situations that was no fault of his own. Disabled individuals have lived the same life with their disabilities.

Solomon North HomeCare has chosen to educate, lead, train, and develop our clients in the direction that will provide a greater understanding of their life and assist them in becoming productive members in society.  Too often, we believe life cannot or will not get any better.

Solomon North HomeCare’s beliefs are made up of multiple opportunities that are waiting for our clients to grasp a hold of them. We are as strong as our clients, so working together makes us stronger together.

Solomon North HomeCare officially launched in 2021 with the infrastructure to provide the following services: Family Support Services and Sitter Services. In 2022, we launched Solomon North Support Coordination Services of St Tammany, our Support Coordination Division. Although our client’s physical health is important, their spiritual health is vital to their success, so we offer free Pastoral Services for individuals that seek spiritual guidance.

Solomon North HomeCare provides a holistic approach that will aid the client as a whole. Our clients will tap into and discover their independence. They are the greatest form of resourcefulness and source of strength to lead us into a better future that we can celebrate their independence.
